Location: Toronto and GTA
Rate of Pay: $36.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Hours: Permanent Full-Time
Required: As soon as possible.
Job Duties
- Measure designated amounts of ingredients for terrazzo or mortar bed according to standard formulas and specifications, using graduated containers and scale, and load ingredients into portable mixer
- Grind surfaces with power grinder or polish surfaces with polishing or surfacing machines
- Blend marble chip mixtures, place into panels, and push roller over surface to embed chips
- Spread, level, or smooth terrazzo mixture to form bases or finished surfaces using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand and power screed, or floats
- Wash polished terrazzo surface, using cleaner and water and apply sealer and curing agent according to manufactures specifications using brush, sprayer or rollers.
Requirements
- Ability to work with a variety of hand tools (angle grinders, wet saw, drills, mixer)
- Applicant will require their own personal tools and transportation
- Strong work ethic
- Good physical fitness
- Ability to work within a team
- Safety gear Hard hat, steel toe boots High (Visibility Vest)
- Conversational English
Education
- High School
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with mechanical set stone veneer cladding
Credentials: (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc )
- Safety cards (WHMIS, Working at Heights, Worker Health and Safety Awareness)
- Drivers License required
